The Blessing of the Land
The Blessing of the New Land took place on Sunday, October 28th at 11:45 am. There were a lot of fellow parishioners, a nice crowd of people, gathered together. The day was a beautiful, sunny day for the blessing. We all sang a wonderful hymn about the wonders and works of the Lord. When I looked around at the property and all the people, it seemed like the song was made for just us. We heard a reading from Mr. Dax and then Father Tony said a prayer and blessed the land and all who were gathered there. Fr. Tony couldn't walk around the whole property, so he only blessed about 1/5 of the land. Petitions were read, we prayed the Our Father and then we sang a closing song. I heard many people say that "we were very fortunate to get such wonderful piece of land" and I agree. Father Charlie and Father Dennis were present and it was so nice to have all our great priests there. It felt like all the saints and angels in heaven blessed the land with Father Tony.
