September "Festival" Month 2010
Parish Festival is Saturday, September 11 - Patriot Day!
Food, Drink, Live Music, Silent Auction, Raffles, Children's games and Rides! Starts at 1:00 pm and ends at 11:00 pm. Children's games from 1 to 6 pm. Rides from 1 to 8 pm. Foosball & ping pong too!! Bluegrass music by Bramble & Rose from 1:30 to 4:30 pm; and Classic Rock by Night Shift from 7:00 to 11:00 pm. Get your dancing shoes on.
Please return your raffle tickets this week, either to the collection basket or the parish office. The drawing is 9 pm on 9/11/10. You can purchase tickets up until the drawing at the Parish Festival.
Veterans and active military: we plan to honor your service to America at the Parish Festival at 6:00 pm. We invite you to attend.
Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, every weekday morning before Mass, from 7:30 to 8:00 am. at the North Lake Church. Come and pray, come and listen. Let the spiritual power of our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament work wonders in your life.
The rosary will be prayed at 9:30 am every Sunday at the Monches Church (except Sundays, Sept. 12 & Oct. 3) and on weekdays after the 8:00 am Mass at North Lake.
Blood Pressure Screening, Monday mornings 9 -10:30 am.
Franciscan Peacemakers cookies due Wednesday, Sept. 8, by 11 am.
Our second Outdoor Mass of the summer will be Sunday, Sept. 12, 10:00 am. This is a first for our faith community to celebrate three Masses outside!! New larger, wider tent. Seating for over 500+. The bugs will be bombed (sprayed). Plenty of parking. Dropoff accessible. Social Gathering afterwards. Let us come together as one parish.
A Blood Drive will be held on Thursday, Sept. 16, from 2 to 7 pm in the parish center. Please call Marilyn Guenther to make an appointment at 966-3540.
And in case you don't know...our parish land is located on Hwy. VV, a few miles east of Hwy. 83 in the town of Merton, right next to the Polo fields.
